Definitely, the movie is not a religious adaptation of the novel (watch "Mary Shelley's Frankestein" which is closer to the original), but this is not bad at all. Although the attempt of creating a backstory on the character Igor seems be too contrived and at time awkward, this film as a whole is not bad at all. Production and visuals are above average, as well as the performances of the lead actors. Just don't expect too much exposure of the "monster" in this movie, as it present a different (but not that fresh) perspective on the "creation" of the lead character.
